Manufacturing/Process Engineer
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a machining and/or assembly environment.
Competence Profile:
BA/BS degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution
2 to 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Understands and proactively utilizes manufacturing hard tools such as: Design for Manufacturable (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), One piece flow/Cellular Manufacturing, Visual Inventory Control (VIC), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Poka-Yokes (Mistake Proofing), CNC programming
Demonstrates knowledge of the following systems: CAD/CAM, PLC programming, word processing, spreadsheet, database, simulation software, SAP R/3
Previous experience working with Siemens MES systems, or a willingness to attend training/travel to other facilities to learn Siemens.
Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization (from the shop floor to management).

Key Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.

Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Prepares and presents Capital Expenditure Proposals (AFE). Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Performs all functions required for project management from initiation through completion.
Defines and inputs product routings for new product configurations.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Develops processes, creates and implements tool designs as required to support new products or process improvements. Understands and utilizes electronic solutions where appropriate (Light Curtains, PLC's, Smart Frames, etc.). Keeps abreast of and utilizes most current technology where appropriate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
