Air Reserve Technicians (ARTs) are part of the regular civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain active membership in an Air Force Reserve unit so long as they occupy ART positions. As members of reserve units, ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. In addition, they are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Force Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency.

The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position is to serve as a Services Specialist managing the day-to-day activities of the Services function, including Prime Readiness in Base Services (Prime RIBS), accomplishing a variety of tasks which ultimately result in the Services unit's capability to perform its wartime mission and ensure that reservists are properly trained and equipped to provide wartime combat and peacetime Services support. As such, the incumbent will: serve as the subject matter expert for Services; manage the mobility program; manage force structure to ensure all SORTS requirements are identified and filled; manage the scheduling, coordination, and evaluation of the training program for unit reservists, including on-the-job training, task and ancillary training, lodging front desk and management procedures, food service operations, wartime mortuary, search and recovery, and physical fitness/recreation operations; serve as the unit resource advisor, wing lodging liaison, and food service coordinator; manage the supply program; evaluate organization needs and available resources to meet mission requirements; and provide guidance to staff and senior leadership in regards to Services operations.
Specialized
Experience: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 or equivalent qualifying pay band or other pay systems in the Federal service) performing work which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Typically this would involve experience in prioritizing and managing organizational training requirements, managing and preparing organizational annual budgets, analyzing Services programs, and providing technical guidance and recommendations in the management of Services operations such as food service, lodging, mortuary affairs, physical fitness and recreation operations. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements.)
(1) Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs, and functions of a Services unit. (2) Knowledge and skill in applying analytical, evaluative, and investigative techniques to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of Services deployment operations, programs, and activities. (3) Ability to plan, organize, and assign work, and to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position may or will require incumbent to: (1) The incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (2) Position requires a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance. Must obtain and retain clearance level designated for this position. (3) Work an uncommon tour of duty. (4) Extensive walking and standing required if involved in mobility operations, exercies, and deployments. (5) May need to lift and carry moderately heavy objects 80 pounds or less.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
