Software Developer III - Application Monitoring Developer - Bothell, WA

,Design and develop monitoring solutions using the HP Operations Manager, HP Site Scope, and HP Business Service Management applications. Work will include designing monitoring, alarming and reporting on business services, applications and supporting network and server infrastructure, modifying existing monitoring and alarming implementations, as well as supporting, maintaining and patching the monitoring environment.
Utilize planning and leadership skills to oversee development deliverables as required implementing new systems capabilities.
Utilize development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
Develop application support documentation as required by the application support teams for acceptance of systems changes into production.
Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled systems enhancements.
Facilitate/lead reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team and development lead.
Familiar with systems engineering and development process.
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
8-10 years experience developing Policies/Templates and alarming solutions using HP Operations Manager application.
8-10 years experience working with IT monitoring tools.
3-5 years of experience working with HP SPIs including the Infrastructure SPI, DB SPI, and Virtual SPI.
3-5 years of experience of working in OMi, SiteScope, BSM, End User Management and SLM Modules
Experience in installing, patching and maintaining a BSM 9.2X environment
Experience with Modeling in RTSM, Creating Dashboards and Integrating External Data Sources in to BSM
Experience Vugen scripting in a variety of protocols
Strong Knowledge in Scripting Languages like Perl, Shell, Windows Scripting, Groovy.
Experience in working with OM in a high available manager of manager environment.
Experience in supporting monitoring solutions in multiple operating systems like Solaris, Linux, Windows, AIX.
Experience with databases specifically Oracle and SQL queries.
Has had technical leadership experience on at least 5 large scale projects.
Has experience mentoring other members of technical/development staff.
B.S. Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Preferred skills:
Experience with other HP applications including Network Node Manager i, Service Health Reporter, or iSPI
Wireless industry experience desirable.
