Sr Network Services Engineer/Architect

Our client is seeking to hire a Senior Networking Services Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a solid Network Technical background as well as have Project or Program Management experience related to Infrastructure projects. The Senior Networking Services Engineer will provide experienced technical solutions and program management leadership to create and deliver innovative, scalable and supportable solutions for cloud-based proxy and security solutions. The scope of the role includes global, enterprise-wide program execution for common networking platforms (proxy, risk protection services, visibility, route/path control), financial controllership, and management of strategic vendor relationships.
You will lead virtual teams executing large programs, developing technical solutions that enhance current visibility and control mechanisms, improve user networking experience and achieve simplification of common network platforms, establish and maintain program financials, liaison with stakeholders, track deliverables and milestones, partner with business IT leaders, IT Risk and the Network Council to assess quality of service, communicate programs underway and understand emerging business and security needs.
This is a contract or contract to perm opportunity with a Fortune 10 company
Required
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
o Minimum 7 years of strong IT experience and leadership
o Minimum 5 years of strong experience in telecommunications or networking services
o Minimum 5 years of experience leading global/enterprise-wide initiatives
o Minimum 2 years of experience managing IT budget financials (forecasting, variance analysis, P&L)
o Must be willing to work from a US IT Risk & Technology location. Prefer Fairfield, CT. Open to Alpharetta GA; Cincinnati/Blue Ash, OH; Chicago IL; Glen Allen VA; Van Buren, MI
