The candidate will perform highly complex legal analysis and legal writing for assigned publications. help the lead editor and/or managing editor to determine and coordinate scope of coverage. and review and copy edit work of less experienced legal editors. Will edit legal materials from outside author-practitioners, focusing on the accuracy of the content, coverage, comprehensiveness, organization, and overall readability. Research accuracy of content to include review of underlying cases, statutes, and other sources. Write original content on a limited basis to reflect new developments. Serve as the main point of contact for outside attorney author-practitioners. Ensure that manuscript and revision deadlines are established and met and that author payments are processed in a timely manner. Participate in/oversee various aspects of production, including learning and applying proper tagging conventions as needed. Work with indexing systems to ensure proper topical classifications. Develop and/or reviewing tables, charts, and other supporting materials as needed. Maintain knowledge of issues in the legal field related to assigned practice areas and publications and work with Managing Editor to identify priority areas for content revision/new publishing. Act as back-up to Managing Editor. Participate in special projects. Perform other duties as assigned.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
