The primary responsibility of the Database Engineering is focused on addressing day-to-day build, management, support, and troubleshooting activities of the team. The Database Engineer will provide database administration support, review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery, and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Candidate will be responsible for mentoring and providing technical guidance to team members and will represent the team in meetings with the customer.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Focus on addressing day-to-day management, support, and troubleshooting activities of the team
- Provide database administration support, perform database upgrades and patching, provide backup/recovery, and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvement
- Oversee environment management and transition planning (development, test, stage, production), monitor database health (e.g. proactive and reactive responses), and design for high availability
- Develop and manage daily operational procedures, update project plans, perform resource planning and anticipate and resolve risks and issues
- Provide 24/7 Production database support based on team coverage and pager duty responsibilities
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members
- Interact with the customer and translate requirements for implementation
The Database Administrator position will require an understanding of Oracle and SQL Server technologies.

Database Administrator III o Must have an active TS/SCI clearance o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field and 7 years experience; or Master's degree and 5 years experience; or 11 years related experience. o Minimum of 4 years of Oracle Database administration in a Linux environment o Minimum of 2 years of experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) o Minimum of 2 years of Oracle Grid Control/Enterprise Manager experience require Sec
certification within 90 days of start to be 8570 compliant.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
