Job Description
Legal Interpreting Services is seeking Malayalam interpreters to perform services under the Social Security Administration contract, we are looking for linguists with vast experience in medical and legal subjects as some of the hearing might be a mix of both.
The job responsibilities will include:
Provide accurate interpretation services, without omissions or withholding information.
Be able to interpret from the target language into English.
Being punctual at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of paid interpretation experience.
Native fluency in the language.
Excellent command of English with the ability to provide interpretation services.
Strong oral communication skills to effectively communicate with the client and the limited English speaker.
Ability to understand slang and colloquial expressions in your native language, and the ability to interpret these into English while still conveying the original meaning and context.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Experience:
Individuals with experience providing interpretation services.
Individuals with experience in the legal and medical fields.
Individuals who currently possess a government issued clearance.
Individuals who are flexible and eager to support assignments on short notice if the case might come up.
Looking for all languages based within the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, New York & New Jersey.
