DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Technical Lead will be responsible for planning and performing changeovers on finishing and drilling equipment. Other possible duties include operation and performing preventative maintenance on finishing and drilling equipment. The technical leader will also be responsible for leading team members by setting the example that compliments the Federal-Mogul standard of excellence. The candidate must be capable completing required reports. The individual must be capable of coaching and training others
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment.
Accurately and efficiently perform machine changeovers according to part and material specifications and standard work procedures.
Accurately and efficiently perform machine changeovers in required time periods.
Plan and build changeover tooling to meet customer requirements.
Maintain standard conditions of all finish tooling.
Maintain standard conditions and 5-S of the tooling setup area.
Perform precision measurement of tooling and product as required.
Changing of perishable tooling as needed on finishing and drilling equipment.
Autonomous maintenance activities.
Ensure that all used tooling is delivered to maintenance for rebuild or repair.
Maintain first piece acceptance on machine changeovers.
Perform at required production rates while operating finishing and drilling equipment.
Report all machine issues to line leader or supervisor.
Effectively train others in machine set-up procedures.
Identifying areas of improvement and assisting with the solution and implementation
Prioritizing daily schedules, directing team members effectively
Any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
All applicants must have a HS diploma or GED. Must score well on a Mechanical Aptitude and Team Skills test if it is necessary as part of the selection process. Must have knowledge of all drilling and finishing requirements and part number specifications. Must be able or trainable to perform machine changeovers on all drilling and finishing equipment within the required time period for each specific machine. Proven mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills are required. Must be dependable, cooperative, and committed to the success of this team.
