Description: To provide high quality, professional customer service that enables the public to access the full range of services provided by the Patron Services Department and, in support of the Blount County Public Library strategic directions, to improve the quality of life for the residents of Blount County through information access, education and recreation. The Patron Account Associate will provide the face-to-face customer support for the Patron Services Department of the Blount County Public Library. Each Patron Accounts Associate is responsible for supporting the Patron Services Manager, Library Administration and the Blount County Board of Trustees in the delivery of library programs and services for library patrons
Duties: The Patron Account Associate will report to the Patron Services Manager and receive work assignments on a day-to-day basis from the Patron Services Manager or other member of the Library Administrative Team. Much of the work is demand driven, and many routine enquires must be resolved on the day they are received, more complex issues must be resolved by a time scale negotiated with the client in consultation with the Patron Services Manager. Work will be generated from decisions made by the Library Director, with priorities assigned by the Patron Services Manager as determined by a variety of situations including, but not limited to, deadlines for library programs, number of customers requiring patron account support, and collection materials processing Consequently on a day to day basis the post holder must be able to prioritize to manage their own workload within the guidelines and deadlines that are determined by Library procedures, line-manager and those necessary to meet deadlines.
Qualifications: Essential
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Physically capable of bending, squatting, lifting and standing for long periods of time
-Effective written and oral communication skills
-Technologically literate (effective internet searching skills, familiarity with MS Office, and general comfort with popular software and devices)
-Be self-directed and have a strong work ethic
-Weekend and evening availability
Preferred
-Experience working with the public
-Higher education particularly in a related fieldEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
