This is a Pathways Student Internship opportunity. The Internship offers valuable work experience directly related to your academic field of study. This is your opportunity to begin a successful Federal civilian career with the United States Air Force. As an Intern, you will be given the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to pursue a successful career with the US Air Force and upon completing your degree and meeting conversion eligibility requirements, be eligible for placement in a permanent position. THIS IS A 3-MONTH STANDING REGISTER

As a Student Trainee (Human Resources Management), GS-0299-04 /05, in the Pathways Program you will work with and serve as a Human Resources Specialist assisting with staffing clerk duties of a routine nature. You will work with higher graded Human Resources Specialists working on a variety of issues involving recruitment and placement. You will also:
Gain experience in planning, developing and carrying out the full range of recruitment, placement, and related management advisory services for assigned organizations.
Work under close supervision, usually carrying out tasks at the specific direction of a higher grade specialist.
Complete all required on-the-job training, minimum of 640 hours, before or concurrently with education requirements.
Air Force Qualification Standards: Internship positions maybe filled at GS-04 or GS-05 levels dependent upon verification of education qualification requirements (Below).
REQUIREMENTS FOR INITIAL APPOINTMENT
To qualify for a GS-04: Completion of 2 academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree in a related field of study.
To qualify for a GS-05: Completion of all requirements for a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree. NOTE An academic year of undergraduate education is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or a minimum of 36 weeks at an accredited busness, technical, vocational, or qualifying educational institution for at least 20 classroom hours per week. Pre-professional study is academic study, credentialing, or training beyond the post-baccalaureate level that prepares the individual to practice a specific profession. Examples include Juris Doctor, Master of Science in Social Work, or Doctor of Pharmacy.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
