The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing all communication between the organization and its customers, employees, and the community. The position participates in the development and implementation of communication strategies for the organization and a variety of projects
Primary
Responsibilities:
Write, design, produce and oversee the distribution of print and electronic communications and ensure all materials area aligned with company culture, core values, goals, and strategies.
Develop and maintain program-wide communication calendar that includes select project related communication activities.
Application of a wide range of communication techniques such as surveys, interviews, interactive meetings and websites as well as other social media, e.g. blogs and podcasts.
Build detailed implementation plans that describe the appropriate communication methods and techniques for specific stakeholders.
Write, edit, and distribute monthly communications updates and quarterly employee newsletter.
Maintain all content in the employee intranet.
Coordinate company-wide all hands meetings and assist in the development of materials used.
Assist with developing and implementing a branding strategy for the company.
Collaborate and assist in the drafting and editing of work products such as executive level briefings, reports, press releases, announcements, presentations and promotional material.
Support on-boarding of new employees.
Edit written documents prepared by others.

Job Requirements
Proficient oral and written communications skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, multi-tasking, and listening skills.
Ability to maintain high productivity amidst competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Excellent judgment and decision making skills.
Working knowledge MS Office Suite.
Robust knowledge in MS PowerPoint.

Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of 5 years of executive communications experience.

Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel (Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
