We are looking for a candidate that is interested in building, maintaining, and operating the infrastructure platform used to power our software hosted in Microsoft?s cloud services (Windows Azure). You will develop solutions, process and systems to ensure that our production and development environment is operating and performing optimally and efficiently; that software is able to be released and deployed in an efficient and streamlined manner, from development to production.
This is a hands-on role with a balanced amount of tool and infrastructure development, including advanced scripting and automation. You will be providing managed services support, product development support, and support the entire stack for a cloud-based service offering.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
-Develop automation, processes, and tools to make this process simpler and more robust; bridge -Engineering and Development services
-Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis activities
-Communicate about the activities of multiple teams within as well as customers to ensure harmonious execution of changes and prompt response to issues
Required Qualifications
-BA/BS in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience
-3
years of experience supporting software development in a Windows environment using Visual Studio and TFS; other languages like Powershell or C# DevOps App Dev experience.
-Experience with agile software development processes such as Scrum
-Understanding of Windows, ASP.NET and SQL core fundamentals, command-line operations and scripting; network protocols and service
-Ability to build and deploy cloud services, software, and related projects from development to production
-Experience supporting operations in a cloud environment. Experience with Microsoft Windows Azure is a plus.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Nice to haves include:
-Develop large-scale, high-performance distributed systems
-Troubleshoot TCP/IP and related networking protocols, especially in lossy or high-latency environments
-Develop system-level components including multi-threading, sockets, and RPC
-Multi-threading and multi-core architecture
-Performance tuningEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
