SUMMARY
This key position will build and implement strategic solutions to drive and support the global operations of the company. You will work with a team of innovative I.T. professionals that creates and delivers leading-edge technologies and expansive systems that impact every aspect of this fast growing businesses.
The primary aim is to develop and maintain SAS applications, analytics, and reports to improve revenue management, pricing optimization, and demand forecasting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Lead Operational Research Analyst you will be responsible for evaluating business requests to determine feasibility, identify options, and recommend/build solutions for software development or enhancements mainly in SAS.
Turn customer requirements into design specifications and data mapping documents and validate requirements
Develop interfaces/prototypes and testing solutions, conduct root-cause analysis for data issues, and recommend solutions.
Assist in the development of interfaces/prototypes and with testing of solutions
Recommend changes to meet requirements and work with business sponsors to obtain approvals
Troubleshoot application issues to ensure the proper functioning of components and resolve issues
Document application issues with clear, concise, and accurate information; manage and track issue to resolution
Research software patches, fixes and upgrades and track the status and result of fixes and upgrades
Collaborate with others to conduct risk/benefit analysis
Validate that new software releases are production ready and provide documentation to end users
Perform task automation and implement process improvements; recommend enhancements to increase quality and service
Manage customer expectations and quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement
Provide guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.
REQUIREMENTS
5
years of experience in using SAS to develop operations research and optimization applications
5
years of experience with Excel, SQL and relational databases (SQL Servers, Oracle, Teradata, etc.)
5
years of experience as a Business Analyst or Software Analyst
Experience working on both structured and unstructured assignments
Experience interacting and eliciting information from all organizational levels
Experience in statistics
Experience in large data warehouse environment (Teradata is preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field
Experience in Revenue Management and optimization is strongly preferred
LI-JS1Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
