The Medical Record Clerk is a position defined as a qualified clerical person responsible and accountable for the maintenance of health records. In this capacity, the employee organizes and maintains a system of files and records concerning patient diagnosis, treatments, admissions, discharges and daily patient census changes. The employee is expected to exercise good judgment and to function independently.
Ensure confidentiality of all medical records information, and complete forms for release of information. Refer to supervisor any requests of a questionable nature.
Perform Clerical/Technical Duties:
Pull and file medical records daily as needed
Maintain system and update Facility health status requirements for inmate physical, laboratory, PPD, etc.
Assist Medical Records Administrator in preparing periodic statistical reports and other management information system requirements. Maintain logs for appropriate medical unit onsite staff.
Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
Licensing: None require
Certification: Current CPR certification
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience working in clinical setting.
Education:High school graduate or equivalent.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
