Job Description :
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individual for the position of PHT4/Diol Operations Technician in our El Dorado, Arkansas site. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for adherence to and support of Chemtura Environmental, Health and Safety policies in a fast paced, challenging operations environment. You will also ensure safe operations while performing your daily work tasks
Safe handling of raw materials, intermediates and finished products
DCS process operations of PHT4 and Diol.
Monitoring and maintaining utility equipment
Loading Diol and Bisulfite bulk trailers
Packaging finished product in super sacks or 25 kg bags
Operation of centrifuge
Maintaining and operating filter belts and filter press
Pulling process samples
Process record keeping
Ensure all GLCC Safety and Environmental policies are followed
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Industrial Wage Certificate or two year degree
Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
Must be a team player
Good problem-solving skills
Must work be able to work a twelve-hour rotating shift and overtime as needed
Previous experience in operations is a plus
May require membership in Fire Brigade
Mechanical aptitude (working with pipe wrenches and tools needed for plant activities and minor maintenance
Must be able to cross train in all elements of production
Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
Participation in plant safety programs
