Summary:
o To support surge testing on the Electronic Proving Ground Contract.
Responsibilities:
o This is a Service Contract Act (SCA), Part Time on Call (PTOC) Technician position.
o Desirable experience on AN/PRC-155 MANPACK and AN/PRC-154 Rifleman or equivalent radios
o Subject to other duties as assigned.
o Personnel will perform limited technical functions related to the support of testing activities such as set up, operation, operator level maintenance and modifications.
o Personnel will be required to operate/maintain military tactical radios; send/receive and score voice/data transmissions and operate/maintain equipment within EPG's instrumentation suite.
o Appropriate boots and attire are required.
o Operators must be able to carry 30lbs radio equipment in a pack on their back, walk approximately 3 miles a day stand for up to five hours at a time while carrying a tablet computer and other instrumentation devices.
o Operators must have the ability to visually see objects close on a small tablet computer.
Operators need to be able to stand, kneel and assume the prone position while documenting voice quality scores on the radio while carrying 30lbs of radio equipment on their backs.
Requirements:
o Must be a U.S citizen
o Ability to go on Temporary Duty without notice
o Must have valid driver license and be insurable driving record
o Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Must be professional, versatile, and able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
Other Skills:
o It is a plus to have a CDL (Commercial Driver's License), but not required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
