General
Summary:
We have an excellent leadership opportunity for a Combustion Turbine Operator/Technician Foreperson at our peaking plant located in Elk River, MN. The foreperson will establish priorities and organize work activities for the operator/technicians at plants under the direction of the combustion turbine supervisor. This position will direct work activities, maintain and operate large simple cycle combustion turbine, perform overall maintenance of mechanical, electrical and other systems required to safely and efficiently operate plants.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will possess knowledge typically acquired through a two-year technical college degree; or military experience; or power plant experience; or other related training and experience; must have combustion turbine operation and maintenance experience and the equivalent of 2 years of directly related operational experience; as well as strong electrical, instrumentation & control (I &C) and mechanical aptitude. Prior experience working with rotating equipment and proven ability to perform a variety of electrical I & C and mechanical maintenance duties is required. Knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment and experience performing switching duties is required.
