Web Infrastructure - Middleware Support Engineer
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Pleasanton, CA area.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited too:
o Manage the environment installation, configuration and lifecycle.
o Provide system administration, support, and tuning of a complex distributed environment.
o Provide preventative maintenance and proactive tuning while also working in partnership with Application Support Teams on the day to day troubleshooting of this environment.
Qualifications:
o BA/BS Math, Engineering, Science, Business, or related experience.
o 6
years in Information Technology supporting, maintaining, and proactively tuning Infrastructure Solutions.
o Advanced skills and proven experience in the following areas is a requirement unless otherwise noted:
o Oracle Weblogic 11g
o Oracle Enterprise Manager
o Oracle HTTP Server
o Websphere MQ/WMB
o Solid experience with system monitoring and management software.
o Proven experience tuning and optimizing systems for peak performance.
o Proven scripting and automation experience.
o Experience with the J2EE framework including Java, EJB, JSPs and Serverlets, JDBC, SOA, JMS, XML.
o Working knowledge of networking and switched network technologies.
o Able to work with complexity in environments and determine potential for cross impacts.
o Must have strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to handle multiple complex projects and assignments simultaneously and to adapt to changing priorities.
o Must be able to instill a sense of confidence in co-workers.
o Works well with others.
o Must have good organizational skills.
o Up to 10% travel may be required.

o Oracle Service Bus (preferred)
o Websphere DataPower (strongly preferred)
o Websphere Application Server (preferred)
o Websphere HTTP Server (preferred
o CA Wily Introscope or similar application performance monitoring tool (Introscope strongly preferred)
