Summary:
Manages and directs the coordination of financial activities and sales functions for the Member Services branch staff specifically providing oversight to the functions performed by Teller, Financial Service Representatives, and Receptionist team members. Responsible for the supervision of the established TDECU REAL standards and positive member service within lobby personnel. Oversees branch compliance with credit union procedures and regulations as well as staff development toward organizational goals and objective achievements within the organization. Performs all other duties as assigned. Implements and performs according to established TDECU REAL standards.
Essential Duties and

1. Employee Management
Functions as the Branch Manager of the member and teller services teams to supervise and monitor planning, implementation, and business fundamentals as they apply to daily operations.
Oversees the Member Services branch team to ensure adequate supervision over staffing and efficiency through training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing performance of employees.
Reviews and approves employee scheduling which effectively utilizes overtime, extended hours, vacation, and other options to ensure the best use of staff resources and sufficient coverage.
Directs, plans, organizes, and monitors performance of daily work, tasks, and assignments.
2. Performance Management
Monitors and mentors employee performance within the branch to ensure a positive member service atmosphere and to enhance the TDECU REAL standards.
Measures branch performance and profitability through operational metrics, management tools and techniques, and seeks improvement opportunities through sales tracking.
Facilitates individual and departmental meetings to develop team motivation, project and performance management, and enhance employee communication.
3. Budget & Control
Oversees a variety of duties including employee audits and balancing, analyzing cash flow and asset levels, branch budget and maintenance, supply management, and any other operational responsibilities.
4. Systems Administration
Utilizes a queuing system to monitor lobby traffic and drive-up management within the branch.
5. Organizational Development
Participates in a variety of staff and operational meetings to support the organization's business continuity.
Oversees work activities with staff relating to disaster recovery, security programs, robbery procedures, and the loss/fraud prevention processes.
Utilizes extensive knowledge of credit union services, industry trends, and branch information to efficiently coordinate and promote branch sales and business opportunities.
Coordinates with the marketing department to plan and implement organizational promotions and sales.
6. Member Services
Provides the branch financial service representatives and tellers with transaction assistance, loan decisioning, and any other relevant operational functions.
Provides direction and guidance to branch supervisory staff in maintaining efficient work flow and processes regarding branch member transactions, cash management, new membership, consumer lending, compliance, and financial planning.
7. Compliance
Completes all mandatory compliance testing within designated time frames and other compliance assignments including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Unusual Activity Reports (UAR), and security processes.
8. Community Relations
Actively participates in internal and external community relations activities and groups to represent the Credit Union.
Minimum
Qualifications:
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
1. Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Financial Management, Economics, Management, or other applicable field from an accredited university or equivalent mix of education and experience required.
2. Experience
Three to five years experience and/or training in member service, management, and financial industry required. Supervisory experience is required.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of relevant computer software including skill with Microsoft Office.
Substantial ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
Produces effective, practical decisions/solutions, makes judgments decisively, communication skills, and statistical thinking.
Ability to interpret data efficiently.
Reading and comprehension skills required.
4. Compliance
Implements processes as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and TDECU policies and procedures including but not limited to completing and submitting Currency Transaction Reports, being knowledgeable of signs of unusual financial activities, and reporting signs of unusual activity and/or completing reporting for Suspicious Activity Report as appropriate per procedure.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Attendance Requirements:
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. This means that the employee is required to report to work on time and must remain at work during all scheduled hours.
This position requires that face-to-face interaction in person or by telephone and e-mail with customers, clients, and vendors. As such, working onsite at the employee's assigned location is an essential function of this position. This means that the employee must report to work onsite and remain onsite during all scheduled hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
