PURPOSE
Candidate is responsible for the employment, promotion, performance evaluation, training and discipline of drivers/set-up crew.
Reports to:Service/Area Manager
Main responsibilities
Maintain current list of available vehicles.
Assign vehicles according to factors such as length of trip and freight requirements.
Issue keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers.
Record time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
Investigate overdue vehicles.
Direct activities of drivers
Confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged units.
Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.
Establish service or delivery routes.
Issue equipment to drivers such as hand trucks, dollies, and blankets.
Assign helpers to drivers when needed.
Qualifications
High school equivalent; Some college preferred.
3-5 years of office services experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office highly desirable.
