Summary:
Regeneron is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Research Associate for infectious disease target discovery, assay development and monoclonal antibody evaluation and selection.
Responsibilities:
Design, execute and control experiments based on protocols.
Develop new methods or technologies and troubleshoot protocols.
Perform advanced laboratory calculations and manipulations along with the analysis and interpretation of data with little to no supervision.
Document findings and lab records in a laboratory notebook.
Communicate experimental results, conclusions and ideas directly to supervisor, project team members and management in quality presentation form.
Capable of guiding the daily activities of other research associates or summer interns and may be required to train others in his/her area of expertise.
Experience and Required Skills:
Requirements:
We are looking for a Bachelor's level degree in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Medical Technology or a related field and 2 to 5 years of related laboratory experience or a Master's level degree in a field outlined above and 0 to 4 years of related laboratory experience.
Advanced knowledge of laboratory equipment and laboratory safety procedures at Biosafety Level 2 and 3.
Preferred developed knowledge of microbiology and current research technologies and practices including culture and handling of viruses, yeast and/or parasites.
Skilled in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Preferred skills in multi-color flow cytometry procedures, including analysis using standard software (e.g., FlowJo).
Skilled in statistical analysis of acquired data and advanced knowledge of basic statistical packages (e.g., Prism GraphPad).
Skilled in the use of aseptic technique.
Skilled in the handling of small animals, including various injection routes (e.g., subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, intramuscular and intravenous) and organ harvest.
Ability to interface with scientists, other research associates and to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
Initiative with respect to the design and execution of experiments.
Independently makes detailed observations, analyzes data, interprets results and reports findings to management.
Must routinely be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
