Job Duties Responsibilities GEICO Staff Counsel seeks an experienced attorney to join its office in Nashville, TN. Applicants must be active members of the Tennessee Bar in good standing. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in personal injury litigation and demonstrated ability as the attorney with primary trial responsibility in cases of moderate severity and complexity. Significant first chair jury trials with 6-10 years' experience handling personal injury cases including some cases of significant severity and complexity preferred. Insurance defense experience in Tennessee is strongly preferred. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own caseload from inception to jury trial and must have the necessary experience to immediately assume mature files. Travel required, including but not limited, to attend trials, hearings, depositions, meetings and conferences in all jurisdictions covered by the office. Good organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and computer skills including Windows and Outlook are required. Applications must be submitted through GEICO.jobs for consideration. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
