We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Inspects all vacant rooms for efficient top conditions and meeting housekeeping specifications.
Supervise all room attendants to assure protection of all hotel property for possible damage.
Report all maintenance problems and assure protection of all hotel property for possible damage.
Check room attendants' appearance, carts, equipment and cleaning supplies. Ensure store rooms are properly stocked with linens and supplies.
Ensures Room Attendants' work meets the requirements of hospitality operations.
Knowledge of all safety and health standards set by OSHA and local Health Department.
Knowledge of all facilities. Ensure that cast members maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow cast members.
Any and all duties as assigned by your Manager or a member of management.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Able to watch over the work of their staff to make sure it meets the requirements of the hospitality operation. Able to offer guidance for the meeting day-to-day goals and provide leadership in difficult times.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow cast members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of hotel management system to inquire about and update room status.
Need to have knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning products and equipment, general office equipment, and hand held radio operation. Two years experience as a room attendant.
Ability to motivate and manage cast members. Must possess good communication skills.
While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch and talk or hear. The cast member is frequently required to stand. The cast member is occasionally required to sit. The cast member must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
