## Description
The Financial Assistance Specialist will process and determine appropriate outcome of Financial Program applications. Analyze and verify documents such as Income Tax Forms, W-2's, bank statements to objectively determine applicable income and assets for financial assistance programs. Accurate and timely documentation of processing activities and communications in appropriate information systems. Processing of applications within a timely manner, consistently meeting individual productivity goals. Scan and index documents into document management system. Communicate with patients, when applicable, financial options for resolving their outstanding debt and be a liaison among the Financial Assistance Unit, the Financial Counselors, and the Hospital and P&A; Call Centers to help patients understand and take advantage of the best financial option for their situation.
## Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or an Associate's degree and two years of financial support experience in a social services or a health care organization or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
