Owns and manages a component of a portfolio of technology-driven initiatives for a single business unit/LOB partner. Typically aligned to a component of a business domain where responsible for management of a client / business area in a component of its information technology-related activities. Directs lower-level managers or team leaders or directly manages a specialty function. Accountable for the creation and development of technology solutions appropriate to business needs and objectives, and oversees implementation of programs, projects or processes. Involved in the coordination of translating business strategy into work programs and processes. Works with partners to develop and drive technology solutions and business case development across functional groups or within a business domain. Often serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT management for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints, and complex service requests. The role requires strong technical skills and ability to provide technical leadership as a proactive and strategic business partner in the development of functional or cross-functional objectives, technology solutions and innovative strategies for groups managed in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated business objectives. May or may not manage employees.

Drive out technical solutions by designing technical solutions to business processes, managing work based on business value and managing scrum teams. Manage business partner relationships, prioritization of business requirements and act as a liaison with business partner SMEs. Manage design, development and implementation activities of systems engineers, QA testers and User Acceptance Testers at the project level. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Scope of responsibilities will include a mixture of Business Architect, product owner/SME, and scrum master.
- Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
- Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient scrum master; provides scrum coaching and scrum master responsibilities.
- Serves as a technical SME interfacing with the consumer banking businesses; Serves as business SME interfacing with technology.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Financial Claims business and dispute processing.
- Responsible for the delivery of agile stories.
- Influencing the required business processes and flows
- Influencing the required analytics and KPI metrics
- Assisting in the program management and governance across all key initiatives
- Document complex User Stories and current-state/future-state process modeling methodology
- Participate in the inception and elaboration project phases including User Story creation and Direct Capture of Objectives using Pega
- Certified scrum master or equivalent experience
- Must have background in technology with strong business acumen; experience in PEGA and Agile preferred
- Experience with complex tasks with proven ability to manage across functions and product lines to deliver his or her projects on time and on budget
- Must have the ability to lead a team and to utilize resources outside of the immediate team to accomplish business goals. The candidate must be able to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team and put people in position to succeed
