The Executive Assistant will be responsible for assisting the General Counsel in the administration and coordination of the legal, contract and regulatory compliance of the Company. Additionally, as part of a leanly staffed legal department. the Executive Assistant will investigate facts and assist in preparing certain legal documents such as contracts, corporate governance documents, and others for review, approval, and use by the General Counsel. Additional responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining a filing system, providing administrative support and managing the personal appointments and day-to-day business of the General Counsel. This position will routinely interact with key business partners, executives and other management personnel, outside counsel, and customers, resulting in exposure to sensitive and confidential situations requiring discretion, independent judgment and initiative. Excellent personal and working relationships and organizational skills in a high-paced environment are critical to successful job performance.


Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintain GC's calendar - arrange, schedule and confirm all meetings, frequently requiring coordination with the calendars of others
Coordinate and schedule travel
Create PowerPoint presentations and other materials
Plan and coordinate meetings, dinners and other events for the GC
Prepare GC's expense reports
Assist GC with outside legal spend budget management, including oversight of external counsel billing practices, initial review of law firm invoices, and coordinate the approval and timely payment of vendor invoices
Organize, set up and maintain files and records, some of which may contain confidential information
Coordinate and prioritize tasks for GC
Independently draft memos and correspondence
Manage confidential matters with discretion
Handle multiple projects with frequent interruptions
Maintain contracts and NDAs, including organizing and indexing each file and developing and updating contract tracking spreadsheets or databases
Assist with the management of litigation and claims, interactions with regulatory and legislative authorities, and outside counsel, including coordinating document production and preparing correspondence
Maintain electronic database and paper files
General office duties
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education Associate's or Bachelor's Degree. Paralegal Certificate a plus.
Experience Five or more years' secretarial/administrative experience, including prior experience as an executive assistant, is a must. Experience assisting a General Counsel is strongly preferred. Assisting a Corporate Secretary, is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
