Job Description
We are looking to hire a well-versed start-up minded Java web application developer to work maintaining and enhancing existing client applications. The client is supporting the our clients team in streamlining the agencies's acquisition process. The client is supporting a broad effort to ingest and expose valuable acquisition data and convert them into desired formats for report generation and other uses. Also helping to fit this data into the larger technology ecosystem of the Tools, Services, and APIs.
Maintain and enhance a custom Java web application
Be able to take sliced mockups or verbal UI instructions and produce efficient UI/UXs
Be able to build and maintain database-driven web applications and have the ability to turn the basic CRUD operations into an enjoyable user experience.
Be able to stay on task and knock out priority features/bugs as identified by the customer
Qualifications
Experience with Java (for web) and JSP required (developing them or integrating with them)
Experience with MySQL or Oracle is required
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery required
Experience with XML and JSON preferred
Experience customizing and/or using Atlassian Confluence preferred
Apache Web Server, Apache Lucene, Apache Velocity, and Apache Tapestry experience is a plus
Experience operating on an Agile development team is a plus
Graphics Design or UI/UX specialties is a plus

BS / MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Degree
US citizen (with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
