Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer

Tegre Corporation is looking for a Senior Project Manager to who will be responsible for:
o Bidding and managing client project projects
o Assume leadership responsibilities as expected of a PM for each assigned project
o Evaluate the contractual scope of work
o Plan, organize and staff key project positions through coordination with regional department heads
o Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards
o Initiate and maintain liaison with clients to coordinate scheduling activities and facilitate successful construction activities
o Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontracts
o Monitor and control project development
o Prepare, issue and update master project schedule and variance reports to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget
o Manage all financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with the client
o Manage risks and investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required
o Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements
o Attend job progress meetings as required and develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors
May also require Construction oversight and crew supervision
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Must have at least 8 years of full scope project management experience managing mechanical or piping construction projects
o Proficient project management skills, including documentation, cost control, scheduling, change order pricing and negotiating
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Outstanding organizational skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
Must be familiar with the use of computerized word processing software, spreadsheets and AutoCAD or similar drawing package.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
