Software Engineer Entrant for Aircraft Combat ID Systems
SOLUTE, Inc. is seeking a talented and inspired individual who is interested in beginning a career working with US Navy combat aircraft and supporting aircraft systems that provide positive battlefield identification. These state-of-the-art Identifications Systems require on-going software development and revisions to keep pace with emerging technologies. We are seeking a candidate with a computer science degree and some practical software experience to assist with these tasks. This effort will be in support of electronic systems, but no prior experience with this equipment is required; we will provide all specialized training. The offered position is a Software Engineer, working at NAVAIR, based in Lexington Park, Maryland. The successful candidate will support technical efforts for Combat Identification (CID) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems for US Navy aircraft, ships and air station facilities. The successful candidate will be intimately involved in the development of software code used for identifying and tracking aircraft in real-world battlefield environments. Responsibilities will include writing, modifying and adapting computer programs in high-level programming languages, and performing research on applications for hardware, software and operating systems. Be part of the team that designs, develops, integrates, and tests software solutions for Naval Aviation.
This is an entry-level, growth position for a motivated, capable, and degreed software engineer. Ideal applicants will possess the education and experience indicated below and have an appetite for professional growth, career advancement, and increasing responsibilities.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer engineering, or similar degree.
Attractive qualifications include 1 year of practical experience in real-time embedded systems, developing code in real-time environments, scientific applications for computer systems and networks, and a basic familiarity with digital hardware design, and SEI CMMI design processes.
Coursework or familiarity with C/C++/VxWorks real-time data processing is a plus, but not required.
Coursework or familiarity with Java/C#/.NET/Visual Basic for simulation software (PC Tracker, DIS Translator, Virtual CI/CM, etc) is a plus, but not required.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
