POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Business Development Manager will contribute value to the organization by driving dramatic sales growth into new and served markets. In addition, this individual will be key in presenting corporate products and services to the customer as well as provide voice of the customer to the corporation to insure business growth.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
Tactically implement the strategic sales channel plan.
Continually drive incremental sales growth to the organization on target products or markets.
Understand the dynamics of the end market so as to instrumentally lead the distribution sales channel effort for the targeted product or market.
Continually improve sales channels.
Develop and maintain product knowledge and application expertise.
Sales Reporting.
Identify opportunities for new or expanded product offerings and provide the necessary inputs to support New Product Development justification.
Conduct regular analysis of competitor product and pricing data to identify implications for the company's products and market position.
Leverage VOC data and customer segmentation methodology to make tactical recommendations for sales promotions and pricing strategies.
Attend Trade Shows and industry events as required.
Strategic Planning
Facilitates development of strategic channel plan for business unit initiatives.
Identify key geographic markets and prospective opportunities for the sales of targeted products.
Develop tools and methodology to communicate and share the channel strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct market analysis - product, price, distribution/channel opportunities, geographic markets, competitive position, new product segments or applications, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience with construction or farm equipment
Assertive negotiation skills
High level of business acumen pertaining to manufacturer/independent dealer relationships.
Ability to analyze dealer financial statements
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 7>10 years-Minimum of which 3 years of dealer territory or direct sales and 2-3 years commercial marketing ideal.
Travel Time: > 50%Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
