A client in the Financial Services industry in the Brentwood, TN area is looking for an ETL Engineer to join their team immediately on a contract to hire basis. This person will provide database administration by designing and building processes to move data from the organization's various operational systems to its centralized data warehouse. Informatica experience is strongly preferred, though other ETL tool experience will be considered for the right person.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Work with business requirements to identify and understand source systems, design, develop, implement, and support ETL (Extract, Transformation, and Load) processes that move data from the organizations various operational systems and platforms to the centralized data warehouse.
Assist in the data cleansing process, efficiently adapting existing ETL routines to accommodate on going changes to the source systems.
Participate in design and implementation of enterprise data warehouse architectures and best practices.
Work with development clients to understand business and technical needs.
Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems/concerns associated with ETL server software. Provide production support activities in a very large relational database environment including scheduling and monitoring of ETL processes, change management, quality assurance, and Meta data management.
Perform capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration with development resources, system administrators and system architects.
Maintain security according to best practices and generate security solutions that balance auditor requirements with user requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field

years experience performing progressively more complex and responsible tasks involving development, implementation and support of enterprise-wide data warehousing.

years Informatica experience
Strong background in ETL processing in a large volume data environment helpful.
Must have knowledge and understanding of source data, uses and structures, and working in relational database environments.
Must have knowledge and experience with complex SQL statements, understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies, and ETL processes and products. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
