Job Description CBS Detroit is looking for a Webmaster for WYCD who enjoys music and has knowledge of today s hot country music pop culture - someone who can both spot trends and create them. The job includes generating lifestyle, personality, and pop culture articles, writing and editing jock blogs, running the stations' social media feeds on Twitter and Facebook and engaging the audience there, building contest pages, posting events and concert listings, creating videos and photo galleries.
Required Qualifications Excellent writing/editing and communication skills; at least basic photography, video editing and graphic design. Enthusiasm and a good attitude with the ability to work well with many different personality types is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of the overall CBS Detroit digital team. Accuracy on tight deadlines is mandatory.Social media skills with an excellent understanding of Facebook and Twitter are required.
Preferred Qualifications Journalism background is a plus; wordpress experience is desirable; Photoshop knowledge is essential; at least basic video editing skills preferable.
