- Conduct quantitative environmental risk assessments for crop protection products in North America.
- Provide technical input on study designs for regulatory and research-oriented ecotoxicology studies.
- Collaborate with regulatory, product safety and other interal stakeholders on issues related to environmental risk assessment.
- Provide technical advice to support new and existing registrations of Syngenta products.
- Participate in and interact with the global Environmental Safety / Ecotoxicology teams.
- Draft correspondence, publications, and reviews for external release.
- Represent the company through participation in professional socieities/workshops, industry-wide task forces, at meetings with regulatory agencies.
Knowledge, Skills &
Experience:
Critical knowledge: :
- This is a full-time for a PhD (or equivalent experience) with a relevant background in basic or applied ecotoxicology, toxicology, ecology, entomology, ecological risk assessment, or a related discipline.
Critical experience :
- The successful candidate will have experience working in a team-oriented environment managing multiple projects, possess excellent analytical, interpretive and communication skills, and be able to adapt technical skills to changing needs.
- A strong capacity for problem solving, planning, organization, and the ability to develop technical skills in disciplines beyond the candidate's area of expertise.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities :
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position. An ability to work with senior scientists and others internal and external to Syngenta.
- This position is suited for an energetic team-oriented individual who also has the ability to operate autonomously.

- Analyze results of literature reviews and/or Syngenta studies for delivery of white papers, reports and publications.
Additional Information:
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
- This position will require travel (approximately 10-15%).
- Knowledge of wildlife ecology or toxicology (bird or mammal), aquatic toxicology, environmental fate, lab- or field-based ecology or toxicology, and/or ecological risk assessment of agricultural chemicals is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
