JOB SUMMARY;
Responsible to perform a variety of specific duties, both within the store and outside locations, under general supervision of the store manager and / or assistant manager. General duties include supervision of unloading of merchandise trucks;supervision of inventory control; supervision and input of consignment numbers; and supervision of pulling team for all customer orders. Maintains cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times. Assures timely execution of moving merchandise to the sales floor. Monitors all paperwork, inputs and files properly. Maintains close communication with delivery personnel to insure customer service consistent with W.S. Badcock standards. Ensures proper maintenance of all company vehicles and provides for daily inspections and record keeping and any required repairs.
Essential Functions:
Secure and maintains the company issued tools.
Cleans and maintains showroom, office areas, rest rooms, front and back of the store , windows, light fixtures, walls, floor, carpet, dumpster area and furniture.
Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies management concerning repairs.
Cleans, checks and tests merchandise before loading.
Assists in maintaining store security.
Learns and complies with the company's loss prevention program by working in a safe manner, identifies, reports and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or perosnal injury. This includes driver training and proper use and maintenance of all company vehicles.
Loads and unloads merchandise. Un-boxes merchandise. Sets up , displays , cleans , touches-up , repairs, refurbishes, tests/checks returned products and services merchandise as needed.
Handles merchandise with proper use of a dolly, shipping blankets and tie-downs to secure the merchandise.
uses a dolly to safely move merchandise; maintains vehicle security and ensures that the customer is completely satisfied.
performs service calls and repairs.
Provides Daily Supervisoin of Warehouse and Delivery Team
Uses STOREnet and Dispatch Track to schedule and monitor daily deliveries
Writes Exchanges and Returns in STOREnet and scheulde them using STOREnet And Dispatch Track
Makes pre-delivery and post delivery phone calls to customers
Opens and close the store in the absence of the store manager and assistant store manager.
Assists in store inventory audits and ensures proper tagging of all items, including returns and exchanged items
Any project assigned by management.
Close and/or open the store in the absence of the store manager or assistant store-manager.
Act as store manager in the absence of the store manager or assistant store-manager.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
High School diploma/ GED
Six months retail customer service, staff supervision , and delivery experience
Valid, clean drivers license-eligible to be DOT certified to operate a box truck if required.
Ability to read maps, shipping / packing documents and assebly instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers , management and personnel by telephone or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective time management skills.
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
Mechancial ability to install and service home appliance, electronics, upholstery, and case goods.
Ability to physically and safely lift up to 75 lbs. or move 200 lbs. with a dolly or assistance of another perosn without injury or damage to the merchandise.
Ability to lift , bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, stand, walk, and climb.
Works indoors in a controlled environment and in an open warehouse subject to various weather conditions. May be exposed to dust, fumes and airborne particles. May be exposed to mechanical/moving parts and electrical shock.
