Responsibilities:-Promotes safety of employees and all stakeholders as the first priority.
Works to drive people, process and products towards Zero Defects
Promotes Safety and Quality
Reports to Depot Manager
Ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel tractors, cryogenic trailers, tube trailers, on-board computers, and associated equipment in accordance with Air Liquide policies and procedures and D.O.T. regulations.
Performs preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair records utilizing Maximo and other computer processes
Reads and interprets equipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicates with supervisor and/or operator for clarification of problems and discusses preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs
General Requirements:-Maintains safe & clean work area
2 years experience in highway equipment maintenance
Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement is recommended
D.O.T. brake certification Strong mechanical aptitude
Technical reading aptitude (i.e. electronic service bulletins; auto repair manuals)
Basic knowledge of transportation regulations Use of Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, earplugs, gloves, hardhat, respirator, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest
Computer literacy High School diploma or GED equivalent
Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs (full range from floor to above head)
Ability to work in confined spaces for an extended period of time, such as the undercarriage of a heavy equipment vehicle
Work extended hours as necessary
Stability to work in a shop environment including, but not limited to, machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes
Move into and out of heavy equipment trucks with ease
