Supervisor Fleet Maintenance

Utility Truck Services (UTS), a subsidiary of Connexus Energy, is a rapidly expanding utility service company providing fleet services to both internal and external customers. Utility Truck Services specializes in the maintenance of aerial lift trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles.
We seek an individual with strong customer service and communication skills to supervise the day-to-day activities. Successful candidate will enable the work group to meet all service goals while minimizing equipment down time and maximize equipment life.
Key
Responsibilities:
A. Coordinate work within the department to maximize the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work performed.
B. Act as first point-of-contact for internal and external customers to answer questions, define work orders and/or estimates.
C. Enter estimates and/or work orders utilizing the fleet maintenance system.
D. Contact customers and keep them informed on their work request status.
E. Provide leadership to fleet technicians; Help troubleshoot large or complicated repair orders; Lead department safety meetings.
F. Review technician productivity and provide coaching when needed; Develop goals and conduct annual reviews.
G. Ensure Connexus Energys fleet is in compliance with all DOT and OSHA requirements.
Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
2 year degree in heavy duty truck/equipment repair or equivalent experience
5 years experience repairing medium/heavy duty trucks or associated experience
2 years of experience leading mechanics in a repair facility
Experience working with fleet maintenance systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:
Ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
Knowledge of business principles and practices of an retail service business
Possess good problem solving, time management and leadership skills
Knowledge of hydraulics and ANSI A92.2 guidelines
Knowledge of equipment used in utility industry such as bucket trucks and digger/derricks
Knowledge of DOT inspections requirements
Knowledge of OSHA regulations relative to automotive repair shop
