Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide category analytic support for Dean Foods. This person will interact with both internal and external customers every day, with limited travel. The individual will utilize point of sales data, syndicated data, and software tools to formulate category and shopper insights. Category and shopper insights will drive merchandising, assortment, pricing, promotion and shelving recommendations to maximize Dean Foods and customer sales and overall category profitability. This position reports to the Senior Director of Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participate in multi-functional category project teams.
Support data analysis for key Sales initiatives, including retailer performance analysis and various ad hoc analyses (assortment, promotion, pricing, etc.).
Help drive process and thought leadership surrounding category management principles and consumer concepts on account team. Develop consistent presentation/templates for team (e.g. business reviews, shopper dynamics, retailer templates, etc.)
Produce Plan-O-Grams, as required, using fact-based metrics
Develop data reports and scorecards based on standard category management measures.
Regularly review account trends with Sales Director, Regional Leads and corporate team.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree required;Dean Foods internal knowledge may be considered in lieu of this requirement
3 - 5 years sales analysis/category/space management experience.
CPG experience (preferably dairy or other grocery).
Proficient in syndicated retail information, sales and space analytic software (IRI, Nielsen, JDA Space Planning, etc.).
Understanding of syndicated data, both POS and Panel and RetailLink/RSi
Skilled in data retrieval and database manipulation and organization - IRI experience preferred
Strong communication skills.
Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work full-time in our Bentonville, AR. office. No relocation assistance will be provided.
Ability to travel 5 - 15%
