My client is in need of a Buyer is responsible for the purchase of product related raw materials.Key
Responsibilities:- Responsible for related product categories that are in line with the global sourcing strategy for chemical raw material and packaging.- Determine the short & mid-term chemical raw material and packaging sourcing demands of the of the companies site.- Implement negotiation strategies, negotiate contracts, service level, pricing, and continuity of supply with vendors; and review existing contracts.- Create and execute cost saving strategies and value engineering programs working closely with cross-functional teams.- Execute correct pricing and conditions using OneSAP- Own the process of supplier non-conformance, 8D, and supplier scorecard.- Interview, recommend and qualify suppliers; implement RFQ's as needed.- Analyze and evaluate bids to determine best value, and conduct value analysis studies.- Perform market and supplier analysis, identify and recommend new procurement activities, technology processes, and value chain improvements.- Consolidate sourcing results into indices, cost savings, and on-time in-full (OTIF) reports.- Support the Operations team ongoing while managing the strategic projects for PR Purchasing.- Perform tasks as assigned by the NAM Purchasing Manager.- Provide Purchasing support to A&AC North American sites.Working hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM--Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or chemical engineering--Minimum of five (5) years purchasing or supply chain experience in the chemical industry required.--Experience in raw material procurement is required.--Excellent analytical and communication skills required. Must be capable of multitasking and prioritizing schedules to meet timing requirements.--Experience with MS Office applications required, with SAP background highly desirable.--Some travel will be required as determined by the NAM Purchasing Manager.Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
