As a
Senior Operations Manager, Excellence in Delivery, North America
with the
Standard Operating Framework
team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable cultural change and embedding the Standard Operating Framework - Production System (SOF - PS) as
the standard way of working
across Ashley Furniture Homestores Central New Jersey locations.
They will do this by leading and supporting multiple SOF - PS transformation projects and a team of SOF - PS Leaders in a variety of business areas and divisions, as well as working closely with Business Leaders to set the strategy and deployment plans for SOF - PS.
Senior Operations Manager, Excellence in Delivery LCO Key Areas of Responsibility:
Leadership of multiple SOF - PS transformations - Leading, supporting, developing and coaching SOF - PS leaders and their teams to deliver critical deployment projects to create significant sustainable change in the business
Regular and active engagement of Senior Stakeholders to drive cultural change across the business
Development of future strategic plans and frameworks with Business Leaders/Directors and with SOF Central SOF Team
Leadership of multiple SOF System transformations - Leading, supporting, developing and coaching SOF leaders and their teams to deliver critical deployment projects to create significant sustainable change in the business.
Accountable for the delivery of multiple projects and associated resources utilizing the EID System model and approach, within specified timescales - usually 16 weeks.
Monitor progress and hold everyone accountable to achieve implementation targets (Kaizens, Follow-up actions, etc.) with a visual process such as a Gantt chart.
Regular and active engagement of Senior Stakeholders to drive cultural change across the business
Create a culture of continuous improvement where staff are engaged and empowered to improve all elements of their working environment
Work with business leaders (Store Managers) to communicate/garner support to ensure sustainable changes in the business, including the successful transition to operational ownership
Develop future strategic plans and frameworks with Business Leaders/Directors and with SOF program to ensure alignment of SOF ways of working and sustainability of changes already delivered (Hoshin Planning)
Work with Senior Stakeholders to support strategic planning activity and ensure that SOF is included as a key enabler of driving business change
Responsible for taking an active role in supporting the development of SOF and SOF - Strategic Supply Chain strategy and input into sustainability and continuous improvement approach

Qualifications
:
PEOPLE SKILLS
Previous experience in Operations management and people management managing multiple, large scale projects using a mix of internal and external resources required with previous experience training and coaching at senior management level and above including a way to measure progress on an individual and system basis.
Strong communication skills with a track record of Presentations and engagement of senior stakeholders and ability to influence and operate at all levels.
Demonstrated experience of developing strong working relationships and alignment and agreement at executive level.
Ability to effectively transfer knowledge to all layers of management.
Ability to quickly win support to implement change by engaging everyone in the process and keeping the process as simple as possible (for floor engagement)
Ability to coach, train, and mentor all layers of management from Supervisors/Team Leaders to Top Management.
Ability to assess and measure lean implementation and cultural transformation progress.
PROCESS SKILLS
Must have a proven track record of applying lean principles and delivering significant change, process redesign and improvement, including leadership of multiple Kaizens (Continuous Improvement Activities)
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Lean Tools (Standardized Work, 5-S, Visual Controls, Kaizens, Key Performance Indicators, Hoshin Planning, Waste Elimination, Pull System, Flow, etc.)
Ability to implement a Layered Process Audit system that will engage leadership and sustain performance
Ability to conduct meaningful System Process Audits to measure Lean Implementation Progress
Demonstrated program management skills.
Establish and enforce process standards (examples: Forms, Color Coding, Signs, etc.)
Oversees Kaizen management and assists Kaizen leaders in preparing charters and in preparation of the events.
Actively participate in all Kaizen events, and ensure that all follow-up meetings and open assignments/action are completed.
Standardize and continuously improve all lean implementation training and documentation.

Establish a system to transfer lean transformation process ownership from the Lean Office to Operation Leadership and the Operators.

Ability to drive a transformation to a Problem-Solving/Continuous Improvement Organization Transformation
Ability to coach teams to conduct Tactical Problems Solving (TPS) activities and Kaizens that improve KPI's and KPI trends
Ability to coach teams to implement new, improved processes that reduce waste and improve Quality, Cost/Value, and Speed of Delivery.
Education/Experience
Undergraduate degree or equivalent required. Masters degree a plus.
Minimum 5 years leadership experience in business transformation, business process re-engineering or delivering continuous improvement operations/lean manufacturing background or industrial engineering change programs as a Sr. Project or Program Manager, Operations or Quality Manager/Director or Engineer in change management in a fast paced complex environment

years business consulting experience (either internal or external) in a retail distribution center (warehouse) is preferred but not required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
