Serves as an IT Specialist in the Division of Enterprise Architecture and Data Administration (DEADA) and is responsible for complex system design and integrative analysis of systems and the development of programmatic software in a multiple-platform environment; or designs, develops, implements and maintains data repository systems which provide automated support for data related activities which are an integral part of the software design, development and maintenance process; or researches and analyzes the impact or new and emerging technologies to determine their impact on Systems and SSA projects.

Researches and analyzes the impact of new and emerging technologies to determine their impact on a wide range of Systems and Agency projects. Identifies potential problems and develops alternative solutions/strategies and recommendations for consideration by management.
Provides technical advice and assistance to top management on new developments and advanced techniques in the specialty area.
Develops process/systems design alternatives for major portions of SSA programmatic systems being developed.
Performs the analysis necessary to develop work plans for systems design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases of projects assigned.
Identifies, evaluates, recommends, and tests new technologies, software engineering methodologies, and tools to assure continuing effective Systems management planning and decision making activities.
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, applicants must demonstrate the following competencies:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition, applicants must possess one of the following to qualify for the GS-11 level:
52 weeks of experience at the GS-9 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled which has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. (Transcripts are required)

Ability to advise management officials on long-range data administration planning initiatives.
To meet this requirement, applicants must demonstrate 3 out of 5 of the following 5 experiences :
Experience evaluating new technologies and recommending implementation strategies for tools that support data administration or Big Data efforts.
Experience advising and making recommendations to management officials on data administration and data quality policies and procedures.
Experience analyzing and identifying data requirements or data design issues and recommending solutions.
Experience supporting data administration initiatives such as Data Profiling, Data Modeling, or Enterprise Data Design.
Experience performing data analytics/data mining using scripting skills to extract intelligence from data.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
