This position will have an 18-month incumbency period for a lateral move and a 6-month incumbency period for a promotional opportunity (beginning on the effective date of the position) which must be met before the employee can post for any other positions within the company. The incumbency period does not affect the at will relationship between client and the employee, and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
HADOOP Skills/Professional
Experience:
Strong knowledge of Hadoop (or derivatives e.g. Cloudera, Hadapt or other large table implementations)
Demonstrated advanced skills with Java Hadoop Mongo and strong understanding of Java Web Services (both REST and SOAP web services running on Spring TC Server)
Experience with several Hadoop technologies including HDFS, HBase, Map/Reduce, and Flume
Proven experience with a near Petabyte implementation a plus
Experience with parallel design and execution of data functions within a Hadoop cluster
Proven experience working to tight deadlines
Software development and problem solving skills in a variety of platforms and/or programming languages
Strong Java development skills (SE and EE)
Strong problem solving and problem resolution
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Advanced degree or experience a plus
Experience with and solving enterprise-level data problems
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Comfortable interacting with both leadership and technical analysts
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only, client NOT willing to sponsor visas.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
