The Technical Specialist is responsible for working with the Government Solutions engagement teams to support technical implementation of solutions to our customers. This associate will have the responsibility for implementing and maintaining the client solutions. This associate will also have the responsibility of migrating certain solutions to be maintained by the technology team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop innovative solutions using Company's data and product offerings to meet client needs
Serve as Company's technical liaison to design, develop, implement, and support Company solutions
Troubleshoots technical issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing customer requirements
Ability to develop technical documents including requirements, design, test documents, and user guides
Works with Company product teams to identify/recommend potential enhancements.
Key Qualifications
Combined work experience of 7 to 10 years systems development, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, and implementation. Experience in data management, large scale databases, and/or web-based system is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Hands on experience with database management systems (SQL Server, ORACLE, MySQL), including database design, scripting, and optimization.
Knowledge of hardware platforms and middleware; enterprise software application experience a plus.
Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
Strong hands-on experience with web service development and integration in a service-oriented architecture (J2EE or .NET experience preferred).
Experience with SOLR, HADOOP, Zookeeper a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills. The candidate should be able to present and interact with customers.
Have worked in an iterative software development lifecycle environment using either Agile, SCRUM, or similar.
Bachelor's Degree is required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
