We are currently hiring for a Senior Process Technician who is:
Hands-on in a dynamic small shop environment where everyone is challenged by rolling up their sleeves to develop and implement solutions for our customer.
Driven and takes a strong business partner approach and attitude providing creative and innovative solutions that meet our high quality standards.
Responsible for the production mold and machine activities to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
Self-motivated and thrives in a fast paced, cutting-edge, lean systems environment, where priorities can often change on a daily basis.
Basic Responsibilities
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and systems
Monitors and corrects efficiencies of processes
Trains employees on jobs
Performs machine/mold setups
Trouble shoots process and machine issues and repairs/corrects findings
Participates in kaizen events
Ensures all documentation is complete and accurate
Implement and maintain SIM (scientific Injection Molding) where appropriate
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve goals
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and systems
Sets-up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, or fixtures and tools and/or coordinates external design/fabrication.
Clean, lubricate, measure, and prepare molds for production including changing tools when required maintain last shots and tool history.
Implements and leads Predictive Maintenance Program for the facility
Pulls, cleans, measures screws and barrels as required maintaining updated/accurate database.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and updates all related documentation
Ensures proper safety and company policies/guidelines
Supports ISO-9001/2000 QMS
Overtime and weekends may be required and are considered to be part of job.
Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
Required Qualifications
5-10 years of experience with setting up molds and processes for injection molding machines and automated assembly equipment.
6-8 years of experience with equipment maintenance for molding machines, auxiliary and automated assembly equipment
3-5 years mold set-up experience
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment; high customer empathy and desire to enthusiastically serve.
Ability to take initiative and be persistent with disciplined follow-up regarding customers and internal departments.
Technical experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment issues with respect to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems along with experience assembling/disassembling injection molding tooling
Scientific Injection Molding Background
DOE/Validation Experience
Ability to read and analyze hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic blueprints
Experience assembling/disassembling injection molding equipment and tooling
Must have full comprehension of all injection molding equipment controls and their effect on processing/tooling
Ability to use basic metrology tools such as gauge pins, micrometers, tool scope, dial indicators, calipers, bore gauges, etc
Previous experience working in a related manufacturing environment
Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
Involves sitting, standing and/or walking, with frequent ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to move subjects and occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force to move objects.
Grasping, ability to apply pressure to an object with fingers and palm hand.
Hearing, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound perceiving their nature with no less than 40 db loss @ 500 Hz, 100 Hz, and 2000 Hz.
Reaching, extending hands or arms in any direction.
Relative motions, physical ability to sustain movements of the fingers, wrists, hands, or arms.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, etc.
Exposed to various packaging materials, cleaning chemicals, lubricants, etc.
