BASIC PURPOSE
Provide customers, partners, and employees with
technical information in a print or online format that describes Sunbelt
Rentals product offerings so that they understand product benefits, as well as
how to use these products in their work flow; and determine the best way to
present information to meet the needs of the audience. Create business rules
documentation in order to ensure the core logic being used internally and
externally is fully outlined and described.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Determine the best presentation to present information to meet audience needs.
Produce customer and employee focused documentation (print and online) according to plans and schedule, ensuring that the documents
are accurate and meet audience needs.
Interact regularly and effectively with product managers, software developers, technical trainers, QA engineers, and other departments as necessary to develop good working relationships and acquire the product information that appears in our documentation.
Interface effectively with various areas within the company so that other groups understand the services we can provide.
Other responsibilities and key result areas as required or assigned.
Understanding of industry publishing tools such
as Adobe Writer/Reader, SnagIt and interactive training toolsets
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, English or the equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
2 years of technical writing experience; experience includes writing various types of reference, procedural, and tutorial documentation,
and the ability to learn any tools associated with the job.
Demonstrates knowledge of good technical writing through written materials: able to explain concepts and processes clearly and effectively in writing.
Understands how to organize and present a variety of technical material to a variety of audiences.
Can produce both print and online documentation using various software tools, and can teach others in the group.
Makes and keeps commitments; meets schedules and deadlines and completes assignments, projects, and goals within the allotted timeframe and budget.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
