Experience:Bachelor's degree & 4 years of experience or equivalent experience (HS degree and 4 additionalyears of experience).
We are currently seeking a Control M Administrator to join our support team at a large Federal Government datacenter near Ogden Utah. Well qualified candidates for this position should be familiar with command line capabilities on both Windows and Unix operating systems. Exceptionally well qualified candidates will have experience with BMC's Control M.
The Control-M Administrators maintain and run the Control-M and Control-M Enterprise Manager software that supports the automated batch scheduling system for the datacenter. This includes installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining and controlling the Information Assurance (IA) posture of the Control M infrastructure.
The Control-M administrator is expected to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise throughout the day or night. Additionally, the administrator must be capable of providing technical support to the controlled systems which include all flavors of Unix, z/OS and some Windows.
Other duties include but are not limited to the following:
>Perform CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager (EM) and CONTROL-M database maintenance
>Implement CONTROL-M cluster failover
>Manage Viewpoints for the enterprise
>Create and manage Node Groups and Shout Destination Tables
>Manage calendar definitions for the enterprise, and use advanced calendar features
>Manage resource definitions and implement Load Balancing
>Implement application-related functionality and the associated Control Modules
>Create maintenance jobs and multi-agent jobs
>Manage environment security and authorizations
>Create reports using the CONTROL-M/EM Reporting Facility
>Analyze and resolve Control-M system production problems and execute Control-M utilities as required.
The Control M infrastructure serves a global user base with 24x7x365 requirements. Our Control M administrators are required to work well with government and contractor personnel at all levels of technical ability from functional end users to Subject Matter Experts (SME). The position requires considerable work outside of core hours including weekend maintenance windows and rotating on call responsibilities. Some limited travel may also be required.
Candidates for this position must undergo a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) as a minimum investigation. The SSBI will be maintained current within 5-years and requests for Special Background Periodic Review (SBPR) will be initiated 6-months prior to the 5-year anniversary date of the previous SSBI or SBPR.
