The function of the Business System Analyst is to provide and implement solutions to business processes and improvements to system applications. The responsibilities include working with management to prioritize technical improvements, research solutions, develop, create test plans and implement solutions to improve performance and reporting within each of the functional areas and to end users.
Work as a liaison with Managers, Directors and IT team members to review, identify and evaluate opportunities for technical productivity improvements. Documented findings to be reviewed with Director of Process Improvement and Executive Director for prioritization.
Document and analyze the required information and data by researching business requirements and translating them to specific software enhancements.
Act as an interface between Departments and IT collaboration and support teams.
Augment existing Business Intelligence reporting tool and/or find ways to automate existing reporting from software applications.
Maintain existing local programs and processes (Workbook and Income Journals)
Collaborate with management and IT to oversee the overall Doc-link process.
Uphold the main goal of all system and process enhancements is to improve end user efficiencies.
Experience:
Expert experience in Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook
Experience with .Net scripts/concepts
Experience with Visual Studio including Visual Basic-VBA
Experience with SQL Server
Possesses strong working knowledge in the areas of application programming, database, and system design (SQL, Visual Basic and .NET)

Knowledge of accounting processes, preferably in hospitality.
Exposure to Process Improvement and Metrics a plus.

Position Requirements

years of business Analyst experience within financial sector, preferably reinsurance/insurance technology applications.
Strong analytical and information gathering skills; with the ability to create solid written project artifacts, including the business case creation and production of functional specifications.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio and MS Access.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team to drive projects and deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and control smaller projects in a structured project management environment, using PRINCE 2 or PMI Practitioner methodologies
Attention to detail, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated success in a fast- paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing projects and demands.
Flexible approach - we are a global operation.
Bachelor's degree in business, related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred and may substitute for some required experience.
Professional qualifications in business Analyst and project management are not required, they are preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
