Power Generation service organization is seeking an experienced Combined Cycle Plant Operations and Maintenance Technician for direct hire career opportunity in College Park, MD. Candidate will be responsible for the safe and reliable start-up, operation and continuous monitoring of boilers, electric generators, chillers, steam distribution system, steam turbines, and other equipment.
Responsibilities for the Technician
Candidates will be responsible for the safe and reliable start-up, operation and continuous monitoring of boilers, electric generators, chillers, steam distribution system, steam turbines, and ancillary equipment.
Performs required plant water chemistry analysis and maintains chemistry controls for both the CHP plant and the chilled water systems.
Performs selective corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance, post maintenance testing, and housekeeping activities.
Requirements for the Technician
Hands-on familiarity with power plant operations, production or maintenance environment is required.
Valid driver's license required, must be insurable by company's vehicle insurance carrier.
This position requires the ability to work rotating shifts involving weekends, holidays, back shifts, and overtime.
Minimum five years experience in operating stationary or marine boilers.
Must apply and sit for Maryland Stationary Engineer's license
