Summary:The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for selling and promoting the products and services of the golf club in the most professional manner. The Assistant Golf Professional will provide the highest level of customer service to ensure all members and guests have an unforgettable golfing experience at Wild Dunes.TheAssistant Golf Professionalwill maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.

The Assistant Golf Professionalshall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Essential job FUNCTIONS:
Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
Provide service to all customers, vendors, and fellow staff in a professional manner
Sell and promote card programs and memberships
Assist with merchandise displays, inventory, tagging, and pricing of merchandise
Assist with pre-tournament set up, outside tournament set up, scoring and tournament summaries
Assist with membership events
Keep golf shop neat and clean at all times
Keep front counter organized and stocked with supplies
Be knowledgeable with all the duties of the golf shop personnel and assist whenever needed
Be responsible for completing incident / accident reports when necessary
Be responsible for handling cash, member charges, and balancing the register
Always maintain the utmost professional attitude towards all guests, as well as associates and supervisor
Sending comment cards to guest daily
Assist with supervision of the outside service staff
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf
Promote and support the mission statement in all interactions with customers, vendors, and fellow employees
Provides general resort information for guests
Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of manager
Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
Communicates all pertinent information to the Golf team
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
eXPERIENCE & eDUCATION:
High school education required
Prior hospitality experience preferred
At least one year customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of the game of golf preferred
Experience in an upscale private golf club or resort preferred
Must be actively pursuing membership in the PGA of America or an affiliate

Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
Valid Driver s License
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must be able to work well under pressure
Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
Must be highly detailed orientated
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
