Located in SW OK near the Texas border, Fort Sill adjoins the city of Lawton, OK. The total population of the city and our installation combined is approx. 100,000. The cost of living is reasonable; public bus transportation is available. Fort Sill is within 1 1/2 hours driving distance to Oklahoma City and 3 hours driving time to the Dallas/Fort Worth metro. Commercial flights are available to the commercial airport in Lawton, OK (9 miles from post). Fort Sill enjoys an outstanding cooperative relationship with the City of Lawton. Our beautiful installation is steeped in natural, living history. It is the only active Army Installation on the Southern Plains which was built during the Indian Wars. Fort Sill is a national historic landmark, and our museum is full of early frontier artifacts.

Designs layout and prepare materials for publication utilizing Adobe design software. Job includes consulting with program managers, recommending and executing both traditional and web-based marketing strategies. Employee will prepare sign content and graphic elements for networked digital signs. Includes other job related duties as assigned.
Successfully completed an accredited vocational or technical program above the high-school level, with major course of study in illustrative design, commercial art, fine arts, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. (The education is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis and must meet the one (1) full year experience requirement.)
OR
One (1) year work experience using the tools or equipment associated with the work. Examples of qualifying general experience include: illustrating, painting, or drawing that required artistic ability and draw, ink, letter, color, or shade illustrations, charts, maps, diagrams, or posters etc.?
Highly Preferred: Ability to use and manipulate Adobe software and graphics packages. Experience in creating and modifying computer images and graphics from concepts to be used in web and print materials. Ability to identify opportunities in digital publishing field, create strategies, and translate plans into concrete outcomes. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Bachelor of Fine Arts (BA) in Graphic Design.
Conditions of employment:
1. A one-year probationary period may be required.
2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.
3. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check.
4. Successfully complete all required background checks.
5. Ability to work weekends based upon on-site event support.
Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid experience or volunteer work.
