We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer for our Award Winning Client (Yes there awards for everything; but if your good -your good).Our client is an almost 100 year old industrial Manufacturer known both for their quality and their commitment to their diverse industrial customer base.The Design Engineer will design and develop cost competitive elements and complete systems or packages.Responsibilities Include:- Design of castings for components- Complete precision machine design- Design oil management system and related heat transfer and fluid dynamic analyses and any other necessary analysis.- Conduct basic vibration analysis including fault diagnosis and condition evaluation.- Develop, plan and organize laboratory testing for qualification or development purposes.- Specify appropriate bearing type and size based on completion of the necessary bearing calculations.- Specify and design sealing solutions including shaft and casing seal designs.- Review Design drawings completed by designers- Understand the applicable engineering economics and conduct cost analysis.- Responsible for Bill of Materials for components and assemblies- Complete any mechanical engineering related tasks assigned by his or her supervisor.- Prepare the technical literature including instruction manual,service diagrams, and the technical instructions for production assembly and field service maintenance operations.- Perform follow-up tests in the laboratory.- Assist the Quality Department in the field quality resolution process.Qualifications- BS or MS Engineering (ABET) degree- Knowledge of product structures and costing methods.- Good knowledge of English both oral and writing.- Proficient in MS Office. Experience with Lotus Notes, CAD tools and MRP systems is an asset.- Experienced with CAD design programs, both 2D and 3D (Pro-E and Pro-Detail +)-Hands On Team Player!Immediate interview to top candidateEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
